Alice/Arisu's pet dog. He and Alice/Arisu were almost killed but for Hirano and Takashi's intervention. He accompanies the gang as Alice/Arisu companion and can differentiate who are the living and who are the undead.
Two extremely entertaining, adrenaline filled \"survival\" manga with lots of horror elements. Fans of the genre, make sure to give any of these two a shot and you won't be disappointed (but be prepared, both are just as heavy in the ecchi department).
All Kii Kogami wants is to have a normal, boring life. But when a horde of homicidal magical girls descends and kills almost all of his classmates, turning them into undead monsters, Kii's dreams vanish in a wave of gore and chaos. Alongside other survivors like the busty Yoruka, childhood friend Tsukune and would-be medical student Ren, can Kii manage to escape a horrifying death one day at a time, while discovering the truth about this invading force
These manga are both unintentional comedy gold when they do something with the plot. Mahou Shoujo of the End will probably have you face palming harder with every poorly thought out twist. High School of the Dead isn't quite as stupid and is a bit more self aware about how silly and superfluous its story is. However, both of these \"horror\" manga are more likely to make you laugh than give you chills.
End of the world scenarios, where the world goes to the zombie dogs (Or magical mass murdering psycho girls for Mahou Shoujo). The parties: a bunch of teenage whippersnappers, some adults and at least one ginormously breasted chick. They all struggle to survive, committing murders of their own while people die around them. Things escalate, the gore gets splattered, the body count rises as things get worse and worse and fanservice ensues. The ecchi and violence are suitable for fans of each and while both aren't the most intelligent of survival manga, they are quite fun to read.
In both mangas there are high school students trying to survive in an apocolyptic world of frequent death and destruction. Both also have plenty of \"service\" both consensual and otherwise. If you enjoy one you'll enoy the other.
A new infection has spread around the planet, that turns people into undead. The story begins a few minutes before the first recorded case, and shows the struggle of six young to survive this new world.
Action packed gore and violence are seen in High School of the Dead and Elfen Lied. Each series involving high school aged people taking on some element of the undead or supernatural. Both series with graphic scenes of the gore and ecchi nature for some entertainment.
High School of the Dead and Blood the Last Vampire have high schoolers fighting against the forces of the undead. Both series are action packed with the students trying to survive the onslaught of underworld beings.

Is the Highschool Of The Dead manga finished The Highschool Of The Dead manga finished with volume 7, so the story is over. Sadly, the author passed away, so the manga will never be completed.
How well did the Highschool Of The Dead manga sell The Highschool Of The Dead manga used to sell around 200,000 copies per volume after the anime adaptation. That is a good number for an ecchi series.
In summary, there will likely never be a Highschool of The Dead Season 2, so you should not expect this series to get a new season. The main reason is that the author has passed away and the story will never be finished. That means there is no point in adapting this manga anymore.
