1.  All of us who’ve succeeded in God have stood spiritually on the shoulders of others. Do you have an example of someone who really deserves thanks for sacrificing so you could succeed? Who are some people you believe God wants you to be spiritual shoulders for?

 

2.  Leaving a spiritual legacy begins with who you are as a person, a spouse, a parent, an employee, a student… The most important thing we leave is an example of faithfulness, forgiveness, integrity… This involves leaving behind baggage we don’t want to pass on to those behind us. What are some things the Lord has led you to give up so others could go up? What are some hard choices you would like prayer to keep making for the sake of those you’ve been called to leave a legacy for?

 

3.  When Jesus came to these disciples he invited them to change their focus from just their destiny to their legacy (fishing for fish to fishing for people). What are some of the ordinary pursuits you have in life that God is calling you to have a different purpose for? How might God want to step into your boat (job, hobbies, family, business, talents, resources) to begin to use in greater ways for His glory?

 

4.  Building a life of legacy requires steps of obedience and faith (casting our net out into the deep). What are some steps of faith God has called you and is calling you to do so that God can work through you in a greater way?
